HLSF gives law firms, corporations, and individuals a vehicle for supporting law students, providing both financial support and networking opportunities. Each year, HLSF awards scholarships in the amount of $5,000 to law students, and $5,000 fellowships for law students who work at agencies such as the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. HLSF is especially proud of its past scholarship recipients who have gone on to become leaders of the organized Latino bar and in other organizations that help the Latino community.
