Ms. MariaJose De la Hoz is a third-year law student at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida. Ms. De la Hoz aspires to build a career centered on litigation and advocacy, with a strong commitment to mentorship, expanding access to the legal profession, and uplifting underrepresented voices through community engagement. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to offset the financial burden of law school and support her family while transitioning to full-time practice. This summer, she will be studying for the Illinois bar examination.
