Ms. Verónica Godina is a first-year law student at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in Latin American & Caribbean Studies and Migration Studies from Brown University. Ms. Godina hopes to dedicate her career to public service by helping the marginalized communities she grew up in on the South Side of Chicago as a civil rights attorney. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship toward tuition payments. This summer, she will work at the National Immigrant Justice Center as a Lefkow Fellow, performing immigrant legal defense and counter-human-trafficking work.
