Ms. Rachel Perales is a second-year law student at DePaul University College of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in Criminology from DePaul University. Ms. Perales aspires to pursue a career as a civil rights litigator, advocating for those harmed by the justice system and fighting for equity and fairness in all communities. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to pay for textbooks and a bar exam preparation course. This summer, she will work at Cabrini Green Legal Aid, contributing to their criminal defense and policy work.
