Ms. Valeria Lopez-Fernandez is a third-year law student at Chicago-Kent College of Law. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With her law degree, Ms. Lopez-Fernandez aspires to give back to the Latinx immigrant community by breaking down language barriers and helping clients navigate the immigration legal system in their native language. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to help cover bar exam preparation expenses. This summer, she will be studying for the bar and continuing to work part-time at Nancy M. Vizer, P.C. as an immigration law clerk.
