Mr. Santiago López is a second-year law student at the University of Illinois College of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019. Mr. López aspires to practice real estate transactional law in Chicago. He also wants to share his journey by mentoring Latino/a law students. Mr. López plans to use the HLSF scholarship to lessen the financial burdens of his student loans. This summer, he will work at Akerman, LLP’s Chicago office as a summer associate in its Real Estate practice group.
