Ms. Maira Huizar is a third-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University. Ms. Huizar aspires to be a corporate transactional attorney and intends to use her law degree to help increase the number of Latino attorneys. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to cover living expenses during bar exam preparation. This summer, she will sit for the Illinois Bar Exam and, in the fall, she will work at Polsinelli PC performing capital markets work.
