HLSF Welcomes Arthur Acevedo to the Board

 

The Hispanic Lawyers Scholarship Fund of Illinois is pleased to welcome Arthur Acevedo to the Board of Trustees in 2020. Arthur Acevedo is a Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development at UIC John Marshall Law School. Art teaches Constitutional Law, Federal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Contracts, and Business Associations. He is also the Faculty Advisor to the Latino Law Student Association, Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee, member of the Dean’s Advisory Group, member of the Board of Trustees Strategic Planning Committee, and member of the Dean Search Committee. Art received a law degree from DePaul University College of Law, Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University Graduate School of Business, Bachelor of Science in Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant. Art is licensed to practice law in Illinois, is a Chicago native, and speaks Spanish and some Portuguese. We look forward to serving alongside Art to achieve HLSF’s mission of diversifying the legal profession through financial support and making lasting connections between students and those in the legal community.
