Ms. Gabriela Padilla-Abarca is a third-year law student at Chicago-Kent College of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Law & Society from Purdue University. Ms. Padilla-Abarca is the first in her family to attend law school. She is passionate about social justice and diversifying the legal field through Hispanic/Latinx representation. She hopes to use her law degree to advance these passions. The HLSF scholarship will help financially support her bar preparation expenses and pursue post-graduate employment opportunities. This summer, she will be studying and sitting for the Illinois bar examination.
