Gabriel Lara

Gabriel is a third year law student at Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is in Kent’s Business Law Certificate Program and Financial Markets and Compliance Certificate Program. He graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology. Gabriel was born in Mexico, raised in Chicago, and is a proud graduate of Chicago Public Schools. Gabriel has demonstrated a tremendous commitment to serving the Latino community through his long and impressive list of volunteer work. To name of few, Gabriel is on the Chicago Public Schools Career and Technical Education Pre-Law Advisory Council, volunteers for Louisiana Civil Justice Center, volunteers for the Legal Assistance Foundation, traveled to Dilley, Texas with Kent’s Immigration Society to provide pro bono services to asylum seekers and is a board member of the non-profit organization Minds Matter. Gabriel has already proven his potential as a leader through his various leadership positions while in law school. He is the National Treasurer for the Hispanic National Bar Association-Law Student Division, President of the Student Humanitarian Network, President of the Hispanic Latino Law Student Association and a Board Member of the Chicago-Kent Student Alumni Board. After graduation, Gabriel will join Chapman & Cutler LLP’s Chicago office as an Associate and will focus on finance. Gabriel is no doubt a rising star and HLSF is proud to have him join the HLSF network and the overall community of Latino lawyers.
