Mr. Carlos Bernal is a first-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from DePauw University. Mr. Bernal aspires to become a federal prosecutor. He plans to continue to invest in his community, mentor underrepresented students, and act as a pro bono attorney for low-income families. He plans to use the HLSF scholarship toward his law school tuition. This summer, he will work as a judicial extern at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
