Ms. Camila LeMaster-Esquivel is a first-generation, first-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio University. Ms. LeMaster-Esquivel was introduced to the field of immigration while working as an immigration advisor for the Ohio State University and the University of Michigan. She aspires to use her law degree to advocate for immigrant communities as an immigration attorney. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship for her casebooks and tuition. This summer, she will work as a law clerk at Fragomen in Chicago.
