Ms. Alexis Hernandez is a third-year law student at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science, with a concentration in Civic Leadership, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Hernandez is passionate about mentorship and work that advance diversity, equity and inclusion. She aspires to create a program to mentor Latine pre-law students who plan to attend law school. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to cover bar exam preparation expenses. This summer, she will take the bar exam, and then begin working as an associate at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.
