Mr. Alberto Vargas is a third-year law student at the University of Chicago Law School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Vargas hopes to use his legal education to advise clients on the intersection of business, technology, intellectual property, and other legal issues. He plans to use the HLSF scholarship to help defray the cost of his law degree. After taking the bar exam this summer, he will join the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis’s Intellectual Property Transactions group.
