Vianey Cabrales is a third-year, part-time law student at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law and a full-time legal assistant at McDonald’s Corporation. She received her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Criminal Law and Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Cabrales aspires to become an in-house attorney and gain experience in intellectual property and data privacy law, as well as other areas of law. She intends to continue volunteering pro bono to support Latinos, women, and underserved communities in Illinois. Ms. Cabrales plans to use the HLSF scholarship to help manage her bar exam costs this summer. Then, she plans to return to work in the Legal Department at McDonald’s Corporation.
