Ms. Marisa Gonzalez-Mabbutt is a third-year law student at The University of Chicago Law School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brigham Young University. Marisa aims to build a legal career that leverages her expertise in Latin American politics and economics. She plans to use her law degree to support and strengthen Hispanic-owned businesses in Chicago. She intends to use the HLSF scholarship to cover bar exam-related expenses. This summer, she will study for the Illinois bar exam before starting her position as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP in the fall.
