Ms. Laura Plata is a first-year law student at Yale Law School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University. Ms. Plata aspires to be a public interest lawyer working on immigration matters and workers’ rights, as well as environmental advocacy. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to lessen the burden of her student loans and allow her to focus on public interest work. This summer, she will work at Our Children’s Trust supporting strategic climate litigation efforts.
