The Hispanic Lawyers Scholarship Fund of Illinois is pleased to welcome Steven Avalos to the Board of Trustees in 2020. Steven Avalos is Director Labor and Employee Relations at Molson Beverage Company. Steve is responsible for setting and directing all labor relations strategies in the U.S. Steve has dedicated his legal practice to labor and employment law matters. Steve is a member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and its In-House Counsel Committee. He is a member of the University of Illinois College of Law’s Latino Law Student Association Alumni Scholarship Committee. He received a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Pre-Law and a Minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Steve is licensed to practice law in Illinois. Steve is a Chicago native, speaks Spanish, is conversational in Chinese, and is a prior HLSF Scholarship recipient. We look forward to serving alongside Steve to achieve HLSF’s mission of diversifying the legal profession through financial support and making lasting connections between students and those in the legal community.
