The Hispanic Lawyers Scholarship Fund of Illinois is pleased to welcome Erika P. Lopez to the Board of Trustees in 2020. Erika P. Lopez is a corporate partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Erika’s practice concentrates on advising private equity sponsors, private companies and public companies in connection with a variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset purchases, divestitures, corporate governance and corporate law matters. Erika is a member of the Kirkland & Ellis Women’s Leadership Initiative, Planning Committee. Erika received a law degree from Cornell College of Law and a Bachelor of Art degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Erika is licensed to practice law in Illinois and New York. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese, is a Chicago native, and a former HLSF scholarship recipient. We look forward to serving alongside Erika to achieve HLSF’s mission of diversifying the legal profession through financial support and making lasting connections between students and those in the legal community.
