Elizabeth is a third-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and will be the first law school graduate in her family. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Elizabeth’s long-term goal is to help diversify the legal field by increasing representation of Latina women. To help achieve that goal, Elizabeth co-founded The Castillo Scholars Mentorship Program at Loyola, which provides mentorship and support to minority students interested in law school. Following graduation, Elizabeth is joining Reda Ciprian Magnone, LLC as an associate where she will focus on estate planning, real property law, and landlord tenant law. The HLSF scholarship will alleviate financial pressures as Elizabeth studies for the Illinois bar exam and prepares to start her legal career. HLSF proudly welcomes this future Latina lawyer to its network and the overall community of Latino lawyers.
