Diana is a third-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and is a first-generation college and law student. Since college, Diana has had a passion for advocating on behalf of children, women, and people of color. She has put this passion into action by interning with multiple public interest organizations during law school. Diana wants to practice family or civil rights law after graduation to advocate for low-income Latinos and represent survivors of domestic violence in divorce proceedings. She aspires to one day become a domestic relations judge in Chicago. The HLSF scholarship will provide valuable financial support to offset the costs of law school and allow her to focus on studying for the Illinois bar exam. HLSF proudly welcomes this future Latina lawyer to its network and the overall community of Latino lawyers.
