Ms. Camila LeMaster-Esquivel is a second-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio University. Ms. LeMaster-Esquivel aspires to be an immigration attorney and provide business immigration services. She also hopes to use her law degree to create access to justice within the Latino community and be a mentor to increase the representation of Latinos in the legal field. The HLSF scholarship will help defray her tuition costs. This summer, Ms. LeMaster-Esquivel will work as a summer associate at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP. She will also spend a week doing pro bono work with the ABA Commission on Immigration, supporting legal services to detained immigrants and asylum-seekers in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas.
