Abraham is a first-year law student at the University of Illinois College of Law. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University. Abraham is an active community advocate. He has served high school students as an AmeriCorps member with College Possible and volunteered with Catholic Charities. Abraham also advocates for LGTBQ+ community members, for access to STEM education, and is committed to creating pathways in the law that advance access to justice for marginalized communities. He hopes to be part of the positive change markers and innovative thinkers that will carry that torch in intellectual property and public interest law. This summer, Abraham will be working with a public interest organization focused on immigration rights and policy change. The HLSF scholarship will lessen unique financial burdens he faces and help him focus on being the innovative change maker he aspires to be. HLSF proudly welcomes this future Latino lawyer to its network and the overall community of Latino lawyers.
