Christian is a first-generation and second-year law student at Notre Dame Law School. He graduated from the University of Chicago, where he double majored in Political Science and Philosophy, coached a high school policy debate team and started his own college debate team. During his junior and senior years of college he interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and DLA Piper. He worked at Sidley Austin in the Labor, Employment and Immigration group, assisting immigrants obtain employment authorization, legal permanent residence, and ultimately citizenship. Christian is interested in continuing his work in immigration or employment law after graduation. This summer he will be working at Proskauer Rose’s Chicago Office. Christian is President of the Hispanic Law Students Association at Notre Dame and launched a student mentorship program to help first-generation and Hispanic students navigate law school and the legal field, a program he hopes to continue after graduation. The HLSF scholarship will help Christian finance his legal education and focus on his legal and community service endeavors.
