Mr. Felix Giron is a first-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law, and Justice from the University of Illinois Chicago. Mr. Giron aspires to use his law degree to lead by example and address the legal gaps and disparities he and his community faced while growing up. He plans to use the HLSF scholarship to help pay for tuition and books so that he can remain diligent in his studies. This summer, he will work at the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board as a clerk under a Federal Administrative Judge and at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office as a clerk in the Public Access Bureau.
