Ms. Cynthia Sofia Garcia is a third-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago. Ms. Garcia aspires to advocate for workers by addressing unfair labor practices, improving working conditions, and expanding access to economic opportunity. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship to cover expenses related to the bar exam and bar preparation. This summer, she will be preparing for the July 2026 bar exam and working with the Southwest Action Network (SWAN), a community organization supporting residents on the Southwest Side of Chicago.
