Mr. René J. Valenzuela is a third-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He received his bachelor’s degree from Pomona College. Mr. Valenzuela aspires to use his law degree to work alongside immigrant youth and their families at the intersection of education and immigration law. He plans to use the HLSF scholarship to cover tuition and student fees. This summer, he will be studying for the bar exam before beginning a Skadden Fellowship in the fall.
