Ms. Serenity Torres is a first-year law student at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Torres aspires to practice transactional employment law with her law degree by counseling businesses to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. She also hopes to continue to complete pro bono work with organizations like Legal Aid Chicago throughout her career. She plans to use the HLSF scholarship towards her law school tuition. This summer, she will work at Sherwood Law Group, LLC as a law clerk providing attorneys assistance in real estate law, employment law and estate planning.
